Your child has PE on a Friday.
What homework does my child need to complete?
We believe that children’s homework should support the learning that takes place in school. We also recognise that homework can be difficult to complete in many situations. Therefore, we have come up with a homework strategy that enables flexibility whilst adding value to school learning.
Each week we encourage the children to complete:
- Reading – Please aim to read at least three times a week with your child.
- Children will also have a library book to take home each week to share and read at home.
- Phonics – Each week, please practise the sounds that the children have been learning.
- Please support your child by talking to them about their school day and the topics outlined in our curriculum overview maps.
What should I do if I need to contact my child’s teacher?
General messages can be sent to the Reception team on Class Dojo. Please note that Class Dojo is not constantly monitored throughout the day so if you require an urgent response please always email the school office to ensure this message will be received in time.
For all general queries, please email the school office. Link to be found on the ‘Contact us’ page.
What do I do if I am worried about my child?
If you have concerns about your child in any form, we welcome you to contact the school through the relevant channel and we can arrange a time to discuss this with you. Additional information can be found on the ‘Mental Health and Wellbeing’ page.
