Opal - Outdoor play and learning

At Stamford Park Primary School in Altrincham, we are proud to be part of the OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) programme, which enhances the quality of our playtimes by providing rich, inclusive, and engaging outdoor experiences for all our children.

OPAL supports our commitment to fostering creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and physical activity, helping our pupils develop essential life skills while making playtimes more enjoyable and purposeful.

Through a range of outdoor play opportunities, including natural materials, loose parts, and child-led exploration, we ensure that every child, regardless of ability, feels included and valued. By embedding OPAL into our school culture, we are nurturing independence, resilience, and social skills, enriching both well-being and learning beyond the classroom.
