EAL

Stamford Park Primary School offers a bespoken English programme to all its pupils whose first language is not English.   

We very much welcome ALL children to our school and those children who need more support in their learning of the English language will be given additional assistance. Our EAL department is lead by Ms. Esa and Ms. Carr (EAL Teaching Assistant), who works full time in supporting EAL children.

We support the children in many ways, such as: small intervention groups, one to one tuition, pre-teach and in-class support.  We also have  an EAL hub where children can play in small groups at break times, to help them settle in to school life.
